I created this web site to help people in Big Canoe discover the joy of birding.  This is done by knowing where and when to go, what birds to expect, and how to identify them.

On the left is the navigation bar to go to the various areas of the web site.  I would suggest clicking the current month  for a list of the birds that you might expect to see.  If you have seen a bird, this list is organized by the birds size.

Above this are areas in and about Big Canoe that birds can be found.

There are two alphabetical listings.  Alpha-H for commonly seen birds and Alpha-L for uncommonly seen birds.

There is also a taxonomic list, the  scientific ways that groups families such as woodpeckers together.  this is the main data base.  The other lists are generated by sorting this matrix.

Below this are other web sites that I have found helpful.
