Chipping Sparrow

Our most common sparrow is a permanet resident.  It is seen throughout Big Canoe.

Habitat: Woodland edges, grassy thickets

Sexes  the same
Clear grayish breast
Dark eyeline, light eyebrow

Voice: Rapid chipping trill

Size: 5.5"

Call: "chip"

Non Breeding adult with brownish cap

Breeding adult with reddish cap

They are occassionaly seen on feeders
